Instructor led sailing club to build on racing skills in a fun, safe and social environment.
 
Club boats available to use, may be limited due to other ongoing courses.
 
Please arrive to be rigged and ready for a start time of 9:30am
 
May be cancelled due to poor weather forecasting, final decisions made Thursday

1 Instructor to 8 Sailors

Prerequisites

  • Completed the CBYC Improvers course 
  • or have completed RYA Start Racing

What to bring

  • Sailing Kit
  • Towel
  • Spare clothes
  • Wetsuit boots/ old shoes
  • Lunch
Consider bringing
  • Your own boat
  • Wetsuit
  • Raincoat/Waterproofs
  • Sunglasses, Sun hat, Sunscreen, Water bottle
  • Warm hat, Extra layers

  • Waterproof trousers and coat
  • Buoyancy aid

Similar courses

This course will give you a fun introduction to the basics of sailing a small dinghy and gives you the opportunity to push yourself if you wish.

The Improver Camp builds on learning in the beginners camp, with the sailors aiming for their RYA stage 3 and State Racing of the RYA Youth Sailing Scheme. These camps are an excellent opportunity to get out on the water and get a lot of sailing in.
