Course Content

Aiming to complete the RYA Stage 4 and RYA Sailing with Spinnakers courses.

Stage 4: Transferring pre-learnt skills, techniques and manoeuvres to sail crewed boats, enhance rigging, launching, recovery and practical skills to recover a man overboard.

Sailing with Spinnakers: Learn how to rig the boat, hoist, gybe and drop/recover one type of spinnaker, either conventional or asymmetric. Gain the knowledge and understanding to sail the best possible course downwind.

Instructor to Student ratio

1 Instructor to 6 Students

Minimum Age

8 years old

Prerequisites

RYA Stage 3 certificate

The Improver Camp builds on learning in the beginners camp, with the sailors aiming for their RYA stage 3 and State Racing of the RYA Youth Sailing Scheme. These camps are an excellent opportunity to get out on the water and get a lot of sailing in.
