An Instructor led session based around fun and games.

Description

Pirates Its all about fun, freedom and time on the water.  With games, mini-races, skill challenges and themed activities, sailors can expect a fun-focused, confidence building, time on the water with friends.  For more competitive sailors, its also a chance to mix things up - try different boats, experiment with new skills and enjoy sailing without the pressure of formal training or racing - End the week with "Real Friday Energy"

Prerequisites

RYA Stage 2 - or higher

8 Years Old

Instructor to Student ratio

1 Instructor to 8 Sailors

What to bring

  • Towel
  • Spare clothes
  • Lunch
  • Wetsuit boots/ old shoes

Consider bringing

  • Your own boat
  • Wetsuit
  • Raincoat/Waterproofs
  • Any sailing kit you already own
  • Sunglasses, Sun hat, Sunscreen, Water bottle
  • Warm hat, Extra layers

What‎ we provide

  • Opti-bat or Fusion/Pico
  • Wetsuit (small range of sizes available)
  • Waterproof trousers and coat
  • Buoyancy aid

Optimist, Topper, RS Feva, RS 2000, ILCA available to hire for a small fee

If borrowing a boat you haven't sailed before, please allow extra time to get rigged

Boat availability subject to weather conditions

The Improver Camp builds on learning in the beginners camp, with the sailors aiming for their RYA stage 3 and State Racing of the RYA Youth Sailing Scheme. These camps are an excellent opportunity to get out on the water and get a lot of sailing in.

Junior Multi Class Racing is designed for young sailors to develop their racing skills in Optimist, Topper, ILCA, RS Feva and RS Tera. PLEASE NOTE: If you do not have a Optimist,Topper, ILCA or RS Feva, please contact the Sailing School in advance to hire one.
